what we do

The gospel of Jesus Christ will change the whole world, but it must start at home as it says in St Luke 24:47. God has been rapidly transforming the lives of the people within our community.  Considering all the pain and heartache at our own back door, let us answer the cries of our society. It is only through the life changing Word of God that these lost souls can be transformed.

The Annual Scholarship Initiative, The JIC Ministries Television Broadcast, and our Worldwide Outreach are a few of the numerous ways that JIC Ministries spreads the light of the gospel. Check out each of these initiatives below and find out how you can make a difference in the lives of those in need of The Light.

worldwide outreach

As Christians we are commanded in Acts 1:8 to be witnesses to the rest of the world  “: And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Therefore we must be attentive to the cry of our brothers and sisters in other countries as well as at home. One of our initiatives is to focus on the many poverty stricken countries in our world.  JIC Ministries has been able to make a difference in many lives in the countries of Ghana, Haiti, Falmouth Jamaica, and Sierra Leone.

educational initiative

Hosea 4:6 says; “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” With this in mind JIC Ministries is focused on using the power of education to change the lives of the people in our community. The JIC Ministries Scholarship Award is designed to give supplemental financial support to talented students and has awarded over $100,000.00 to that effect.

community connection

Another initiative that JIC deemed necessary to the enhancing of the community was Family First Center. Birthed in response to repeated acts of violence and unrest, The Family First Center of Lake County is a non for profit 501c3 faith based organization established in 2002.  Pastor Caples decided that the community needed an outreach to carry the vision outside the four walls of the church and beyond the scope of traditional ministry. Family First Center has been a forerunner in the efforts to stem the violence and change lives in Lake County has been paramount in helping to change lives, provide instruction and counsel to steadily loosen the grip of crime in a poverty ridden community.
